Dear Birders:

This morning just before lunch we had a shrike in southern Marquette
Co. It was just across the road (west side of Rt.22) from the Muir
rest stop (not Muir Park on Cty F). This rest stop is just a little
north, probably less than a mile, of Cty CM on Rt 22 which divides
Columbia Co. from Marquette Co., The bird was in a wet marshy area in
the tops of the reeds.

Time of year says it's a Northern Shrike, however it was too far out
to see the pale lower mandible or the white above the bill with the
bins.

Good birding................Paul & Glenna
