Hi everyone,

Just reporting in from Rainbow Pond. Two days ago I de-thatched our lawn and
today our lawn is literally covered with worm and insect-eating robins, juncos
and even two bluebirds. The surrounding fields around the pond have been
literally noisy with Sandhill Cranes, always a good sound at this time of the
year. As regards the robins, we counted 77 in the farmyard this morning.
Apparently word of the thatched grass and available worms spreads like wildfire
in the robin world.

Best birding,

Jeff Virant
