[wisb] Protect Grassland Birds

WSO is taking a vital interest in the Department of Natural Resources’
efforts to develop a master plan for parcels it owns on the former Badger
Army Ammunition Plant (BAAP). The BAAP property (adjacent to Devils Lake
State Park) currently hosts some of the largest populations of grassland
birds in southern Wisconsin. There is currently a campaign to raise public
awareness of the potential negative impacts to songbirds and other wildlife
associated with a proposed 500-acre ATV track/gun range on these lands.
