The north side of Picnic Point was without wind today and the area around the pond was full of insects. Come on warblers, there's plenty to eat here! The number of Yellow-rumped Warblers (2-3) was way down but the number of Palm Warblers (>20) was way up. Also present were Northern Waterthrushes, Yellow Warblers, Common Yellowthroat Warblers and Blue-gray Gnatcatchers as well as a Green Heron, Wood Ducks and Blue-winged Teal. FOYs for me were a Bay-breasted Warbler and a Blackpoll Warbler. Good birding to all, Chuck Henrikson Madison, Dane County
