Went out today during the noon hour to try to find the Milwaukee urban Wild Turkey. Found it right away, only a block away from where Sharon S had photographed it 4-5 hours earlier. The bird must like this area. :-) * Not the best of photos...heavy overcast was letting very little light through, but here's the turkey on Webster, between Prospect and Farwell, about 2-3 blocks north of Whole Foods: http://www.flickr.com/photos/14463444@N07/6781052430/in/photostream * This is not your typical Wild Turkey habitat. Fairly high human population density, mostly apartment buildings with little green space: - Turkey was seen here on this block early in the AM: http://www.flickr.com/photos/14463444@N07/6927173533/in/photostream - Then seen on this block during the noon hour: http://www.flickr.com/photos/14463444@N07/6927172193/in/photostream * And, for what it's worth, here's a turkey footprint in the snow in an apartment building driveway: http://www.flickr.com/photos/14463444@N07/6927174585/in/photostream Bernie Sloan Milwaukee #################### You received this email because you are subscribed to the Wisconsin Birding Network (Wisbirdn).
