Birded the flooded fields in Green Lake Co. after work today including
KK/Hwy 23 which was slow.
The flooded field at the S/W intersection of KK & 44/49 had alot of birds,
but the B. N. Stilts were gone. Miller & A had a massive flock of Pectoral
Sandpipers of around 600 birds in one flock that took wing at one point &
returned. There were more flocks of Pecs. besides those there. We counted
10 breeding plumage American Golden Plovers in the quadrants of S/W & S/E.
There were an additional 3 dozen non-breeding plumage Plovers that i did
not see black arm pits on.
We got one Solitary Sandpiper on the N/E corner.
Several hundred Bonaparte Gulls at that location too. Perhaps a thousand.
I could not find a pink wash on any black headed gull today.
Good luck tomorrow, Steve Mullen in Redgranite, Waushara Co.
