I spent a couple of hours this morning at Lion's Den, Ozaukee Co.. It was pretty slow, but I did finally locate a few warbler flocks. Ended up with 13 warbler species: Golden-winged Tennessee Northern Parula Chestnut-sided Magnolia Black-throated Blue Yellow-rumped Black-throated Green Blackburnian Blackpoll Black and White American Redstart Common Yellowthroat Thrushes of any kind were few and far between. Other highlights were an immature Bald Eagle, and a pair of Great Horned Owls vocalizing at dawn. Besides for the fairly nice variety of warblers, it was pretty slow overall, and I missed a lot of birds I normally find here in abundance, such as waxwings, goldfinches and nuthatches.
