This message from the Illinois listserv today may be of interest to Wisconsin birders. "The HOODED CRANE has not been seen at Goose Pond FWA in Indiana since sunset on February 12. The property manager estimates that 1/3 of the several thousand Sandhill Cranes present on February 12 have departed. Therefore, it is likely that the Hooded Crane is moving north with Sandhills. Illinois birders should monitor known gathering locations for Sandhills to search for the Hooded Crane. Wisconsin birders should also be on the alert for the bird." Keep watching the skies!
