Nothing to compare to last weeks birding, but some interesting birds nonetheless. Harrington Beach: 1 Common Loon on the lake, several other distant flybys. 2 Red-throated Loons, 3 White-winged Scoters, Northern Shrike, a few Bufflehead, Common Goldeneye,Horned Grebes, and hundreds of Red-breasted Mergansers. One Snow Bunting on the beach, but any warblers or sparrows that were there eluded me. Sheboygan: 1 Red-throated Loon, adult Glaucous and Great Black-backed Gulls, and wouldn't you know it, the day after John discussed the Iceland/Thayer's Gull ID problems, 1 gull with characteristics intermediate between Kumlien's Iceland Gull and Thayer's Gull. John is the gull expert so I will say 1 Kumlien's Gull per his suggestion!
