Andy Holschbach, Dan Scheiman, and I birded along Sheboygan's North Point
and Harbor today in the early afternoon. At North Point we saw two apparent
ICELAND GULLS among a mix of Glaucous, Herring, Ring-billed, and Great
Black-backed Gulls. Among the usual waterfowl we also spotted the female
HARLEQUIN DUCK and a close-to-shore female LONG-TAILED DUCK. In the
Sheboygan Harbor we searched for the Barrow's Goldeneye with no luck, but
did see a male Long-tailed Duck and two Canvasbacks among the scaup and
goldeneyes.
Good birding,
Samantha Holschbach
Plymouth, Sheboygan Co.
