The Ashland Gyrfalcon is still present but it's been playing hard-to-get lately. Since finding it on the Ashland CBC on Dec 19, multiple Ashland birders have searched for it regularly without success, including substantial effort throughout this week. However, John Dixon and Rick Fare briefly saw it near the oredock on Wednesday afternoon and then got better looks today at 1 pm. Bottom line...you have a good chance of seeing it with dedicated effort over several days but it's far from a guarantee.
