I roved around a bit this afternoon during the CBC stopping at McKinley Marina where a fall gull flock has been present daily, especially after 3 when they return from the landfills. Today they were way out near the tip of the Juneau-Veterans fill and one had to walk from the Sailing Center to the north seawall, but it was well worth it. There were 5-6000 mostly Herrings, but also present was 1 Kumlien's (CY1), 5+ adult Thayer's and 1 CY1 bird, 3 Lesser Bb, 2 Great Bb, 3 Glaucous and one CY3 California Gull.
