Just so the subject line is a little clearer...

I always recommend putting name, address and email address in your field
guides - I do it as soon as I get a new one.

Hi Pat,

I was wondering if you could do me a quick favor. I noticed that you post
sometimes on the WI bird listserv and wondered if you would be willing to
post something for me. I was leading a field trip for University of
Wisconsin-Madison ornithology students around the Milwaukee area on
Saturday, Feb. 4. Somewhere I misplaced my field guide and think it may
have fallen out while we were parked somewhere. We visited the Coast Guard
Impoundment, Ferry's Landing, and the Yacht Clud that morning. It is a
National Geographic Birds of North America 4th edition and my name "M.
Hayes" is written on the inside cover. The cover is curling back and the
plastic covering is starting to peel. Normally, I wouldn't care as this
edition is about 15 years out of date, but it has some dates and location
sightings written in there. So, I'd like to recover it if at all possible.
Would you be able to post this for me on the WI bird listserv? I'd greatly
appreciate it.

Thanks much, hope you are doing well,

Matthew A. Hayes
