This morning in southern Iowa County I have a large influx of FOX SPARROWS
around and under the feeders. Iâve counted 34 and I know thatâs an
undercount because they are moving around a lot. Also an increase in
immature RED-WINGED BLACKBIRDS, 1 FOY CHIPPING SPARROW. JUNCOS were on the
decline, but I have at least 80 today including a few Oregonâs and
Cassiarâs that havenât eBirded since theyâre always here and I hate to
look
pretentious. Still have 2 PINE SISKINS, but havenât noticed and breeding
activity, and PURPLE FINCHES still number around a dozen or so. Aside from
the normal early migrants, the birds are pretty static here at the moment.
Looking at winter, wanting for spring...
