Wisbirders, There were fewer warblers this morning but great views of CANADA WARBLERS and a few MOURNING WARBLERS heard singing. I was fortunate to observe two male SCARLET TANAGERS bathe in the stream. One flew off, but the other popped up to an open perch and preened, so I captured a video: Scarlet Tanager Preening (from YouTube, click on [HQ] to watch in High Quality): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-ym8nb6uaAA Scarlet Tanager digital: http://www.birddigiscoper.com/blogbwk093a.jpg Location: Pheasant Branch Observation date: 5/19/09 Number of species: 53 [edited] Ruby-throated Hummingbird Red-headed Woodpecker Eastern Wood-Pewee Least Flycatcher Eastern Phoebe Great Crested Flycatcher Red-eyed Vireo Blue-gray Gnatcatcher Swainson's Thrush Wood Thrush Tennessee Warbler Chestnut-sided Warbler Magnolia Warbler Black-throated Green Warbler Blackburnian Warbler Bay-breasted Warbler Blackpoll Warbler American Redstart Northern Waterthrush Mourning Warbler Common Yellowthroat Wilson's Warbler Canada Warbler Scarlet Tanager White-throated Sparrow Rose-breasted Grosbeak Indigo Bunting Baltimore Oriole Mike McDowell Madison - Dane County www.birddigiscoper.com #################### You received this email because you are subscribed to the WISBIRDN list.
