My husband and I were treated to a few-minute visit from around two dozen Common Nighthawks early this evening, the most we've ever seen at one time. Our Baltimore Orioles and Ruby-throated Hummingbirds are eating us out of grape jelly and nectar, but we're enjoying their last weeks of company. A pair of Eastern Kingbirds are entertaining us this week, too.
