Thanks to the folks who posted this bird and the other local snowies that I biffed on in Chippewa cty! The owl I saw today was just east of Thorp, so of it's the same bird, he has moved west. I found today's owl on a utility pole along an unmarked farm road about 1/2 mile east of mile marker 113 on highway 29. The gps said it was at 36.97N , 122.026 W. I could not get a photo b/ c of the angle of the sun. But the bird was visible w/out binies.. When I looked at him, he turned his head around and looked right at me!! Very cool!! He was a lifer for me and a nemesis bird, too !! Thanks, thanks Claudia Giamati Chippewa County#################### You received this email because you are subscribed to the Wisconsin Birding Network (Wisbirdn).
