This morning at 9 am in Cherokee Marsh North Unit, I heard and saw one Henslow's sparrow and heard at least one more. They were in the same open area as two weeks ago, on the open slope below the concrete pad, near the east edge of the trail loop. I also had a good listen and look at a blue-winged warbler near the pond at the bottom of the hill. It was a good morning for yellows - besides the blue-winged there were many yellow warblers, yellowthroats, and goldfinches. Also sora and wood duck at Lu's pond, white crowned sparrows on the path to the boardwalk, blue-gray gnatcatchers near the boat house.
