Pair of Cedar Waxwings working the berry trees in the yard the last three
days - I think they are possibly starting nest building. Robins definitely
nesting. Juncos still present though in smaller numbers. Usual birds all
winter: Downy, Hairy, and Red-bellied Woodpeckers, and both Nuthatches
enjoying the Marvel Meal and suet feeders plus the nuts. Pileated female
here most morning also - so great to have her every day! Pair of Blue Jays
at nuts also. Crows of course! Have not seen Brown Creepers yet but
Chipping have been around for over a week.
No sign of Bluebirds or Swallows here at the boxes, but we have been
preparing for them both here and up at the Storage Barn again.
