Hi All This report come second hand from my brother Jim. In the past week he has had several nomadic flocks of Bohemian Waxwings around Eagle River. They were first located around the Courthouse in Eagle River, but have since been moving around quite a bit. He estimates one of the flocks to have had nearly 100 birds. This particular flock may have been a mixed flock with some Cedars sprinkled in, he observed the flock while it was in flight and did not have an opportunity glass them. He reports they are cleaning up the Mountain Ash trees around Eagle River very quickly. He didn't have any real strategy to try to find them, other than keep driving around town. They best areas in the past have been the neighborhoods north of the downtown area. Looking for those Mountain Ash trees would be a good place to start. Sorry for such a vague locations, but anyone that knows about waxwings, knows this is typical behavior. Good Luck!!
