I finally saw a flock of migrating Tundra Swans heading southeast over my neighborhood as I walked to the bus stop this morning. It was a pretty small one - maybe eight or ten. I heard them first, so I knew they weren't Trumpeters. Lake Monona was steaming like mad - with the forecast lows for the next several days, I'm afraid the lakes will freeze before the Madison CBC on the 19th.
