Just a quick note - On the way back from an appointment, I drove through the road in Badger Prairie Co. Park (starting at the Verona Library and ending at Maple Grove Dr.). Of note, I heard eastern meadowlarks, BOBOLINKS, CLAY-COLORED SPARROWS (got a nice look at one), and HENSLOW'S SPARROWS along the drive. This drive is also a great place to view THIRTEEN-LINED GROUND SQUIRRELS along the roadside. A little further up I finally heard a FOY SAVANNAH SPARROW. It's actually been a little while since I've heard one, and I've found them harder to come by lately than grasshopper sparrows. -Mike Duchek, Madison, Dane Co. #################### You received this email because you are subscribed to the Wisconsin Birding Network (Wisbirdn).
