I made searches of the oredock for the Ashland GYRFALCON at 8:30 AM and 12:30 PM today without success. When I arrived home my daughter informed me that there were 9 Bald Eagles in the vicinity of the deer carcass. A few minutes later, I counted an even dozen, 8 of which were adults. As many as 6 were on the ground at one time, sparring for a spot on the carcass, which is less than 100 yards from my back door. I also saw a flock of about 100 SNOW BUNTINGS in a cut wheat field on Old US 2 near my house.
