There is a White-winged Dove present in a rural yard in Southwest Marathon County, just north of the small city of Spencer, WI. It was first found this morning by the home owner, who then alerted me. The home owner is Ken Luepke. Ken has been a long time birder for many years in this area of the state. Ken said it would be alright for others to come and see the bird, as long as it stays around. From Spencer, take State Highway 13 north for about a mile out of town to Eau Pleine Road. Turn east on to Eau Pleine Road and go a mile or so to address B894, which is faintly makes on a big green mailbox. It's a blue house on the north side of the road. If you hit County Highway F to the east, you went to far. The bird can be in the yard in any of the trees, on the wires along the road, or in the smaller trees along the road. Ken is home much of the time, except early mornings when he's working until 9 a.m. -- Dan Belter Marathon County, WI #################### You received this email because you are subscribed to the Wisconsin Birding Network (Wisbirdn).
