Ok, I formatted the hard drive (c:) tried to install and it hung again. =
Could there be something in my bios config that is affecting the =
installation? I also tried to install xp professional (both upgrade and =
clean) and again the install program hung at "starting setup, please =
wait" or something to that affect. I got my xp home reinstalled by =
using the image file. Any and all ideas are welcome, before I send this =
pc back to the factory.....tia

I'm stumped!

You can either startup the computer using a Startup Disk that has Fdisk =
on
it, or startup using the W2K cd, when it comes to the screen where it =
shows
you the partitions available, you will be able to delete the partitions, =
set
the sizes of the new partition(s),and re-format the partition you're =
going
to install W2K on. Once it is installed, you will then be able to format =
all
the other partitions.
