Or you can always use msinfo32.

Start - Run - "msinfo32"

When the system summary information comes up the first item in the right
pane is "OS Name"

This is also a quick way to determine system memory, service pack level,
and number of processors / proc speed.

1) Log into server
2) Press CTRL+ALT+DEL
3) Read info at top of menu box
4) Smack self in forehead
