Try to boot off the cd/recovery console, and run chkdisk.exe or maybe its chkdsk.exe. Also try starting in safemode, and disable automatic boot when system crashes. Booted up fine about 5 times, but now it boots until checking drives, gets half way through checking my six partitions, then briefly flashes a blue screen, and reboots. I recall reading how to capture the blue screen, but my finger on pause/break is not fast enough. Is there a way to capture this? Tried over the top reinstall, but when I start setup from the cd, I get a msg that cmdtool.exe is linked to....advapi32.dll with some sort of error msg. Cannot boot from CD either. Anyone able to point me to the first steps to fixing this? BTW, I dual boot 98 and XP Mark
