well...I got something here.... the file is NOT erased.... that space on the drive is allocated in the OS as FREE space...until that space is needed... You CAN use programs to look at ALL the data on a drive and find it if it's not overwritten yet...but...dream on... This is advanced file/data recovery methods that COULD possibly recover something like that but 99.999% chance that your goodies are gone by now...about the first reboot...:P Rayne -----Original Message----- From: windows2000-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:windows2000-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx]On Behalf Of Joe Shonk Sent: Tuesday, September 03, 2002 12:00 PM To: 'windows2000@xxxxxxxxxxxxx' Subject: [windows2000] Re: Recover deleted files from share drive on W2K server The file does not go anywhere.... It is simply delete... You will need to restore the file off of a backup. I checked the recycle bin on the server, and it's not there, and I checked the recycle bin on the local workstation, and the file does not appear there either. Can someone point me in the right direction? Thank you in advance for your advice Russell ================================== To Unsubscribe, set digest or vacation mode or view archives use the below link. http://thethin.net/win2000list.cfm ================================== To Unsubscribe, set digest or vacation mode or view archives use the below link. http://thethin.net/win2000list.cfm ================================== To Unsubscribe, set digest or vacation mode or view archives use the below link. http://thethin.net/win2000list.cfm
