If your ISP has a download area and they can give you a large file - say
30MB to download - The key being coming from their own network - harder
for them to fight the whole internet traveling/hops/routers excuse.

I can send you a quick little bandwidth calculator that will tell you how
long it should take to download different - for example - 30mb on a 768k
pipe shold take about 6.5 minutes. This is will put you in the ball park
... I am assuming you are complaining about a large difference in speed.

Just as a quick question - are testing right from the ISP handoff without
any other devices between ... ie. proxy servers, web filters?
