[windows2000] IT Department Structures

i'm looking to see how IT departments are structured these days. it
seems the dot-com bubble shuffled responsibilites and roles around
quite a bit and i was hoping to get some feedback from the folks who
work directly in these departments.
my current thought is that the IT support and production dept's mirror
themselves, as (from "top" to "bottom"):
CIO --> VP of IT --> Sr. Dir. of IT --> Dir. of IT --> IT Mgr --> IT
while development dept's are structured as:
CIO --> VP of Dev --> Sr. Dir. of QA --> Dev/QA Mgr --> Dev/QA
any thoughts? thanks in advance!
