Disable the second NIC if the server is not a router/firewall or being used
for fault-tolerance/load balancing/NIC Teaming.

Subject: [windows2000] How to configure services to use to specific NIC

On a box with multiple network cards, is there a way to specify what NIC
a specific service should use? (Specifically I would like the W32Time
service to only use the internal NIC on a Windows 2000 server with 2
network cards).

I know that in IIS, for example, you can specify what IP address it
listens to, or disable socketpooling so it doesn't listen on TCP port 80
all IP addresses... but for other services, can you also specify those
things?

Thanks!

Alfonso
