.CMD, .KIX, .VBS, .PL?
Different resources for different languages...
And, if you don't know the answer to that question:
Have you programmed before?
If so, choose the one you are comfortable with.
If not, learn vbs/wsh scripting. It is my first choice, and useful for so
many administrative tasks.
