[windows2000] Adding a 2nd cpu to a DC running win2k3 server?

Hi all,

I've recently managed to get my hands on a used HP Netserver E60,
to offload the current DC-fileserver combo. The fileserver will be
demoted and do only fileserving, while the "new" HP will do only
domain controlling stuff. To my surprise the HP is a dual-cpu
machine! It currently runs only one slotted PIII/500, and the other
slot is free for an additional cpu.

Now, would I, or rather win2k3 server std, benefit at all if I
manage to find another p3/500 to install? The HP will as I
mentioned only do DC-stuff, ie replicating, speaking to the others
DCs and so on, not much else, hence me getting such a low-powered
machine.

I've not been able to find any info on the slotted p3/500-cpu's
regarding the smp capabilities, so would anybody know if I can just
add another regular slotted p3/500?

It just so happens that we have another old dell-desktop with a
possible suitable cpu, which I might be able to de-cpuify...

Thx for any info.

BW,

Sorin
