1. Open ADU&C
2. Right click on the root domain, and click Properties.
3. Go to the Group Policy tab.
4. If you are on a winXP workstation, and you have the GPMC installed, you will
have to use that...
5. Create a new Group Policy, linked at the root domain level.
6. Open Computer Configuration->Windows Settings->Security Settings->Restricted
Groups
7. Right click in the right pane, and choose "Add Group"
8. For a name, type "Power Users"
9. Under "Members of this group" add the group "<domain name>\Authenticated
Users"
10. Close the GPO, and either wait for a GPO refresh interval, or force the
change by running SECEDIT /REFRESHPOLICY MACHINE_POLICY (for windows 2000) or
GPUpdate (For Win2k3 or XP) on each workstation...

Conversation: Adding a user to the Power Users group on all machines
Subject: [windows2000] Adding a user to the Power Users group on all machines

How can I set it up in Active Directory (on a Windows 2000 Server AD domain) so
that, on all machines throughout the network, any ordinary user, is
automatically put into the Power Users group on each machine?
