Yes, although we did this by something of a bespoke method. In general, DNS that will support dynamic updates and SRV records is all that's required, but I implemented a slightly different tack on that. Well if you're UNIX based DNS (BIND) supports dynamic updates and SRV records, and doesn't prevent updates via other platforms (ie there's no authentication issues) then you should be good to go.
