Yeah, it probably hasn't been updated in quite awhile! Chris will probably get around to it, some day! ----- Original Message ----- From: "Chris Hallsworth" <christopherh40@xxxxxxxxxxxxxx> To: <winamp4theblind@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Saturday, February 28, 2009 12:37 PM Subject: Re: when installing the new version of winamp The FAQ doesn't even exist. Well now, let's be clear here. that could be confusing to some people because yes, everything is there, but in order to be compadible with screenreaders, you most definitely do not want the modern or bento skins to be installed, and if someone hasn't ever installed the newer versions of Winamp before, and they aren't told that they need to uncheck the modern and bento skins during the instalation, they're gonna have nothing but headaches, and Winamp won't work very well for them. This could be very frustrating. By default, when you install new versions of Winamp, the first choice that you see is custom, and when you choose that, the modern and bento skins are unchecked, if, of course, you didn't choose to have them installed before. So to put it plain and simple, the instalation program actually remembers the settings from your last instalation, so for best results, I really do have to recommend the custom instalation. It just really makes things a lot simpler for everyone involved. and when the next version comes out, just choose custom again and it'll retain your ssettings from this version.
