Thanks for the info especially on the first part. I actually want Winamp to react like WMP is now. I don't want Winamp to download or open the file, I want it to stream automatically. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Chris Skarstad" <toonhead@xxxxxxxxxx>

Hi. Winamp is a very strange program as far as the menu bar goes. It's one of the very few programs that acts this way, you can't really change it from how it is. so if you're in Winamp and you hit the alt key, you'll get a menu which you can use, but for most users, the keyboard shortcuts are how it's used. So if you press the alt key and then arrow down, you'll get a pulldown menu, in JAWS it'll say Winamp sub menu, in Window-eyes it says, Winamp pulldown. if you press enter on that you get various options. But again, that's probably the longer way around and using the keyboard shortcuts is faster. There's a web page that explains a lot of this and some of the information, especially about the playlist editor is a bit outdated, but if you visit

http://acbradio.org/winamp.html
you can get familiar with the keyboard shortcuts you can use. and if you use JAWS, hit insert plus h and you will get a list of commands, based on what Winamp window you happen to be in. As far as why Windows media player acts the way it does, it's all in how your system is configured. But since this is the Winamp list we don't really answer specific Windows Media player questions here.
The Pc-audio list is abetter list for those.

OK I am going to test you guys. This is my first Winamp question so be nice. How do I configure my file menu to be normal instead of it only being assessable only through pressing the ALT key. Next question is why is it that I can hit download now and if I set Windows media player to play my internet streams it plays immediately without having to download but when I set Winamp to do the same it asks me to open or save the file?
