Creating Bookmarks

Hello All,
I was wondering, is it possible to place a bookmark in the middle of an MP3
file. I have an audio book file that is in MP3 format. The runttime for the
file is quite long and there are times where I'd like to be able to stop, place
a bookmark, and start again where I left off. I've tried placing bookmarks by
pausing the file, and then pressing Alt-I. But when I play the bookmark, the
thing starts all the way at the beginning of the file. Any suggestions?
