Sometime between 10 pm last night and 6 am this morning, 501 Sussex Rd. was
broken in to. The family was sleeping at the time. Items taken include a
laptop, an Ipad and Volkswagen keys. An attempt to take a TV ended for an
unknown reason.
The house was entered through an unlocked window on the side of 503 Sussex.
Patio furniture and a trash can were used to climb up to the window. For
various reasons, including the fact that the owners have not opened their
windows or unlocked them for quite some time, it is thought that there is a
possibility it was unlocked by someone who had provided service in the home.
Detectives are working on it.
The owners have authorized me to give their address because they are hoping
someone might have seen something. This was in full view of Sussex Road. If you
saw anything, please call the police or let me know and I will pass the
information on.
