Morry,

Is there away to stop receiving all of these messages? I posted a
position on the site months ago, but I don't need to be a part of all of
these discussions.
What are your thoughts?

Bridget

Subject: [webproducers] Re: Needed: Web Project Management Software

I tried a bunch of them before deciding on Basecamp and our team is =20
very happy and our clients are as well. It has some quirks but one of =20
the biggest things is that it accomplishes the basics and let's us =20
communicate and manage quickly and efficiently. One reason we went =20
with it was when trying the others so many were so bloated and they =20
didn't emphasize usability. After trying activecollab for about a year =20
I couldn't stand it anymore. It has lots of features but it's the =20
classic example of an interface designed by an engineer or programmer =20
not an interface designer.
It seems people either love or hate Basecamp and the one's that don't =20
like it usually complain they want more features (or they have issues =20
with how the company replies to their requests for features).

Some argue that Basecamp is more about communication than project =20
management (no charts and such) but to paraphrase colleague who also =20
uses Basecamp "managing creative projects is all about communication =20
because the projects constantly evolve and all the fancy tools and =20
charts break after the first day so you can either spend your time =20
managing and updating your charts to reflect the constant project =20
changes or you can manage the communication as it evolves."

Here is my list of some of the majors but as I said we went with =20
Basecamp:
