I've now sorted out my endpoint names issue (it helped to have the right
build of Vista on the test machine!), but I've noticed another problem with
this build. Under the mixer API, each endpoint (input and output) is
producing its own mixer device, and each one has a single destination fader
and mute and a single source fader and mute that appear to be unrelated to
the actual topology reported by the device miniport. In particular, my
actual topology for the output endpoint has a peak meter node associated
with the master fader/mute as well as faders/mutes for monitoring the
inputs, but none of these are being translated to the mixer API.
