I have never heard of them, but after googling it, it looks like they are a European freshwater fish. Sounds like they will eat anything, and in the info I just read, will actually jump out of the water onto land to catch a pigeon to eat…keep them away from me please! Indeed, I've seen the picture of that monster. But in my world, I only know of channel catfish and such critters. In the US, do we have "wels" catfish? Thanks for sharing the article and yes, I had seen that article just the other day as well. I haven't read what bait or exactly how they caught that monster. Steve or Ron or anybody, do you know? There is a fun show on I think the Discovery Channel called, Monster Fish - perhaps. Anyhow, the host travels the world to catch monster type fish but only fresh water as I understand the show. I listen to it late at night or if not sleeping as is my regular pattern, in the middle of the night. It is a fun show to listen to but I sure can't remember the host ever catching a fish the size of this wels catfish! Happy fishing or dreaming of such to all! Kevin
