Reizen Atomic Talking Watch has male voice, clear and louder than most.

I order the key chain clock for my hard of hearing people and quite
often, those who are cognitively challenged. It is quite loud. It also
has a quite large rubber button to push to have it announce the time.
However, the ones I've heard do not have male voices.

I find that people who are hard of hearing do best with a talking key
chain watch - available at MaxiAids. It is the loudest device I have
found.
It is also very inexpensive. One problem with the one-button watch is
that the speaker is under the face of the watch and the announce is
muffled by the fact that it is against the wrist. I have found that if
a person who is a hearing aid user or hard of hearing, the watch can be
held close to ear and tipped away from the wrist to hear it better and
that often works for them.

Hi Janet,
I can't promise that you won't have trouble with this, however, I got it
this morning and it has a clear quite understandable male voice. It has
a gold band and is a one button watch (a button for the time and the
stem to set the time on the face. It does not have an alarm on it, if
you need that. This comes from Maxi Aids.

Unisex Gold One Button Talking Watch Item#: 702252 $24.95

Hope this helps,

Subject: [visionrehabtherapist] talking watch question, and overall
disappointment with quality of items available

Is anyone able to recommend a talking watch that has a male voice (for a
hearing aid user) that was similar to the "tel-time 2000" model that is
no longer available? This particular model was unique in that it did
not have the rooster crowing alarm option, rather, it states the time
and beeps...
I have had a string of very unsatisfactory purchases from well known
catalog companies of different products that were not working out of the
box. I have found that spending extra on items does not necessarily
translate into better quality.
Sending items back is a tremendous chore, however, I am no longer going
to accept the junk, and I have really received some junk that I think
the folks should be embarrassed to send out, but, I digress.
Any help with a watch recommendation is much appreciated!
Janet in Michigan
