From; Panda Oxygen3: "Truth is more of a stranger than fiction." Mark Twain (1835-1910) US author - Several Internet browsers affected by an important vulnerability - Oxygen3 24h-365d, by Panda Software (http://www.pandasoftware.com) Madrid, June 28, 2005- A vulnerability has been detected in several Internet browsers, which could allow a malicious website to display false dialog boxes. The problem, reported in several widely-used browsers, occurs because Javascript dialog boxes do not show their origin. As a result, a new window can be opened that seems to come from a trusted website. This vulnerability was reported by Oxygen3 24h-365d on June 21. The browsers affected by this vulnerability are the following: - Optimal Desktop - Wichio - Fast Browser Pro - MyInternet Browser - Omni - Advanced Browser - Slim Browser - NetCaptor - Avant Browser Up until now, none of the manufacturers of these browsers have provided a solution to the problem. Therefore, Oxygen3 recommends users to be careful with dialog boxes that request personal data, as they could be an exploit for this vulnerability.
