The Valhalla pre-sets are not FXP format. One extremely annoying feature in
Samplitude is the complete lack of support for pre-sets from third parties.
Every other DAW on the planet has a pre-set management system. On Windows you
can import FXP pre-sets into Reaper and Sonar but not Samplitude and Sequoia.
Ridiculous.

Subject: [vipaudioaccess] Re: Valhalla presets
Hi JP,
That's interesting. I also installed and scanned an SPL plugin for which the
presets are available in Samplitude so I thought I had messed something up for
Valhalla.
I agree there aren't a lot of parameters but presets are a quick starting point
that I do like to speed things up a bit as a starting point.
Not a big deal though.
Now I'm very curious why Samplitude doesn't see them even though they are
installed into the program data folder.
Since the SPL presets show up, I am thinking it must be where they are placed
at installation.
Needs some research I guess.
Thanks,
Floyd...

Hi Floyd.--
It is really an exception when plug-in shows their presets in
Samplitude. However, with this particular one, I think it's more fun
to experiment. You don't have that many parameters anyway, and you can
also save the settings you like as an FXP, by clicking patch save in
the plug-ins menu.

Hi all again,--
Sorry, more questions.
So I have the Valhalla vintage verb installed and it works well.
I realized today that there are presets in my program data folder but
they don't show up when I bring it up in Samplitude.
The parameters are there but alt p only shows default and the 0
parameters line.
In the plugin browser it is listed under both vst2 and vst3. However,
the vst3 one seems to do nothing. Doesn't speak when I try it.
Any ideas about how to get the presets or what I might have done
wrong when I scanned it in a while back?
Thanks,
Floyd...
