Hi Tim, yep thanks tried that. As I've just replied to Brian, it seems to be particular programs that either don't like that right hand side combo or they don't allow it somehow. Best Steve. _____ From: vipaudioaccess-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:vipaudioaccess-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of Tim Burgess Sent: 01 March 2015 15:45 To: vipaudioaccess@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [vipaudioaccess] Re: New keyboard: right alt+control not acting as expected? Hi Steve, You could cheat a bit to find out what keys are what. Engage Jaws keyboard help by pressing Insert+NumberRow1 then press each key on the keyboard. Any silent keys are candidates for Fn keys that will act as additional modifiers. Exit keyboard help by pressing Insert+1 again. Best wishes. Hi guys...anyone got any ideas why my new keyboard's right alt/control is not working as expected? this is the key to the right of the spacebar and when I press it for an "alt+control" command, no go I'm afraid, it's not executed or recognised or something. I've tried with a couple of keyboard layouts, english and US international, but still the same. It's slowly driving me nuts, as it makes using these keys a pain when I need to use keys on the left side...can't use the right hand for modifiers. It's not an expensive keyboard, £6 from Asda, but my other died after some idiot knocked over a full mug of tea onto it...ummm, that idiot was me! Any help would help me sleep better :p, cheers Steve.
