According to Anthony at Slate, the recently released VMR 2.0 will not crash VST 2 hosts like Sonar 8.5. I thought I'd better pass this along in case anyone has tried VMR unsuccessfully. Give the latest version a try. Also, note that the latest VCC is now instantiated inside VMR.
