Hi Eleanor,
You haven't said if its windows 7 in conjunction with Outlook 2010 you are
using. Here are the instructions for this particular setup, it's quite easy
really.
Outlook 2010 Account Settings
To change details pertaining to your email account n Outlook 2010 such as
name and so on here's what to do:
1. On a system using windows 7, open the start menu then in the search edit
box, type in "control panel" minus the quotes.
2. When in control panel use the search box in here and type in the word
"Mail" again minus the quotes.
3. Once the mail link pops up, press the enter key on it and you are into
the mail settings area.
4. Now you're on the email accounts button, press the spacebar to go in
here.
5. Once in the email account settings you have the following items as tab
sheets. Use the control + tab key to jump to each page but for just editing
your email account details all you need to be on is the first one which is
email accounts.
*. Email accounts tab.
*. Data Files tab.
*. RSS tab.
*. SharePoint tab.
Internet Calendars tab.
*. Published calendars tab.
*. Address books tab.
6. On the email tab page press the tab key till you come to the "Change
button" and press the spacebar.
7. In here you can edit the following items;
*. Your name.
*. Your email address.
*. Incoming mail server.
*. Outgoing mail server.
*. User name.
*. Password.
*. Remember password checkbox.
*. Require at logon secure password authentication checkbox.
*. Test account settings button.
*. Test account settings by clicking the "next button" checkbox checked by
default.
*. More settings button.
*. Next button.
*. Cancel button.
