Hi Hazel, Glad you got things working. Flors thoughts on Norton Internet security are sound and I have come across machines caught up in a tangle using that software, these were not limited to machines running jaws. I feel staying away from Nortons products especially the anti virus kind would be best for a jaws or any other access software user. Hello, Martin, Pauline, Thank you for the information. I have sorted out the problem with avast, but, if I need a anti virus programme in the future, I now know that McAfee is not good with JAWS, and Norton works well with JAWS. Many thanks, Hazel Flannigan. -----Original Message----- From: vip_students-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:vip_students-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of Martin Trodden Sent: 22 June 2009 14:19 To: vip_students@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [vip_students] Re: Hello all. Hi Hazel. i use jaws 10 and i have norton internet security. i have never had a problem with it. the norton updates and runs a scan in the backround so it does not need to be watched. a friend of mine used that avest and had problems with it blocking everything on her. i hope this helps.
