I think I've got a better idea. From where you want to start selecting, use
shift+arrow key(s). then hit F8, which highlights what you've selected.
then, you can choose to copy - or, if you go into the context menu, you will
find a print dialogue where you can choose to 'print selection' radiobutton
2 of 4 if you want to print just the selected bit.

I wonder should you also press the shift key with the down-arrow aas you are
selecting? Otherwise, hitting down-arrow *unselects* what you selected with
F8. (Here, below, is what I selected from the google [page just now. It's
only a part of the whole page, not all of the page, as I selected only a few
lines. It is different, because now JAWS9 by default in Internet Explorer
copies the page as a sighted person will see it.) Here we go:

Paul, go to the start of paragraph which you want to copy with the home key
or no. 7 on numb pad, then press F8 for extended selection and arrow down to
the end of the text you want copied, then do control and C to copy to
clipboard.
